Start of Removal work
Therefore, Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism Kanto Regional Development Bureau Tokyo Bay Waterway office carried out the removal work of the No.3 sea fort in seven years from 2000 to 2007 for the safety of navigation of vessels. As a result of this work, the Uraga Waterway was secured its water depth of 23m required for large boats to pass, and safety was improved.
