Various sponges

This creature, also called the “Kaimen”, or sponge, has loose cell-cell connections and no distinct organs. It captures organic fine particles and microorganisms from the seawater that passes through the body for nutrition. Kaimens of various colors also inhabit the reef of No. 2 Sea Fort.
