Lilium maculatum grows in coastal gravel areas and cliffs, and the flowers are characteristically upward. From July to August during the flower season, you may encounter a lilium maculatum colony. Also called Iwayuri or Iwatoyuri. In the Chiba Red Data Book, it is ranked as rank C: protected species.
